Incoterms

Incoterms are standard trade terms published by the International Chamber of Commerce that define who pays for and bears the risk of each part of a shipment.

The current version is Incoterms 2020 with 11 rules, such as EXW, FCA, DAP and DDP. In US–Mexico trucking, FCA (supplier loads and hands over at an agreed place) and DAP (supplier delivers to your named place, you clear import) are common. Quotes from different suppliers are only comparable when they use the same Incoterm and the same named place.

General information, not legal or customs advice. Rules and tariffs change; confirm details for your product with your customs broker.
